Hartselle Fire and Rescue says thank you

By Staff
The Hartselle Fire and Rescue Department would like to express our thanks to all the volunteer fire departments and firefighters that responded to the tragic fire at Quail Run Apartments on July 28.
The assistance each of you rendered was professional and greatly appreciated and showed your unselfish dedication to serve mankind.
We would also like to especially thank the Decatur Fire and Rescue Department, Falkville Volunteer Fire Department, and Flint City Volunteer Fire Department for providing apparatus and manpower at the scene as well as providing coverage for the city of Hartselle while fire operations were being conducted.
We also thank both American Ambulance Service and Life Care of Alabama for providing medical treatment and transportation to firefighters in need.
We would also like to thank all the tenants at Quail Run Apartments that provided assistance to neighbors and firefighters without due regard for your personal safety.
Your acts of kindness were greatly appreciated and will not go unforgotten.
Once again, thanks to everybody that helped. We greatly appreciate each of you.
Rickey Joe Smith
Chief, Hartselle Fire and Rescue
