Sponsors pave way for tourney
Editor,
We are so fortunate here in Hartselle to have area businesses willing to sponsor events for our youth.
Recently, the 11 and 12-year-old Dixie Youth Baseball League hosted the sub-district tournament here in our great town. We had nothing but compliments regarding our facilities and the hospitality shown to all coaches, teams and umpires.
Local businesses who donated towards the tournament to help cover expenses were KFC, Pig Stand BBQ, Papa Johns Pizza, Hartselle Frozen Foods, B&G OK Tires, Big Top Toys, The Book Cellar, C&L Tax Service, Dean's Tax Service, Reeves Peach Farm, El Portal Mexican Restaurant, Garnett's Automotive &Lawn Equipment, Hartselle Alternator and Starter Service, Long's Upholstery, McClanahan's Hardware, Oliver's Printing and Tankersley's Gas.
The tournament was a huge success with the host team, Hartselle American, claiming the sub-district championship.
We'd like to thank these businesses and hope that the people here in Hartselle will frequent them. We could not have done it without them.
