Betty C. Godsey Holmes

Funeral for Betty C. Godsey Holmes, 64, of Falkville was Sunday, July 27, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Lovelace and Bro. Paul Holmes officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Holmes died Friday, July 25, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1939, in Franklin County to Marshall Marvin Godsey and Stella Nix Godsey.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Falkville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Godsey and Jack Godsey; and a grandson, Aaron David Holmes.
She is survived by her husband, David E. "Gene" Holmes of Falkville; two daughters, Tonya Prater of Daphne and Tammie Holmes of Falkville; three brothers, Hoyt Godsey and Max Godsey, both of Birmingham, and John Godsey of Hartselle; two sisters, Dorothy Rigsby and Mary Burfield, both of Birmingham; and three grandchildren, Savanah Jade Holmes, David Austin Prater and Cade Davis Holmes.
Pallbearers were brothers and nephews.
