Buford Kracke Roberts

Funeral for Buford Kracke Roberts, 93, of Hartselle was Friday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. WG Henry and Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Sierra Springs Retirement Assisted Living. She was born Feb. 28, 1910, in Marshall County to Henry Augustus Kracke and Carrie Camilla Puryear Kracke.
She was a member of Hartselle First United Methodist Church and a Sunday school teacher, a retired school teacher and merchant, an amateur historian and author of school journals. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Pi Gamma Mu, Kappa Delta Pi and Current Review Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E.R. Roberts.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia Lois Roberts and Martha Roberts Brown, both of Hartselle; one brother, Stanley Kracke of Courtland; two granddaughters, Lynn Garrison and Beth Emerson, both of Hartselle; one grandson, Doug Brown of Hoover; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Stone, Charles Ray, Charles Quinn, Robert Peck, Joe Howell and Bob Francis.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of Hartselle First United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Valley, Decatur.
