Joseph E. Bowles

Joseph E. Bowles, 74, of Hartselle died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born July 12, 1929, in Virginia to Frank E. Bowles and Irene Alexander Bowles.
He was a Baptist and served in the United States Army from 1945-1954. He authored civil engineering textbooks, owned Engineering Computer Software until his retirement, and was a professor of civil engineering at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
He is survived by his wife, Faye J. Bowles of Hartselle; one brother, Myron Bowles of Waukegan, Ill.; and one sister, Nelda Lombardi of DeForest, Wis.
Memorials may be made to the New Center Baptist Church Building Fund.
