ARC hosting advocacy group
The Arc of Morgan County, Funland Park 401 14th St. SE Decatur, will host a meeting on Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. for "People First," a self-advocacy group for persons of all ages with disabilities. New board members will also be welcomed to The Arc during this meeting. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. For more information, call 355-6192.
Pool hosting summer party
Enjoy a Summer Splash Party at Hartselle Pool on Friday, July 18.
The pool deck will be decorated and there will be limbo contests, a water rodeo, and much more. Admission is $4 for ages 6 and up, $2 for ages 5 and under, and $1 per person with a season pass.
Caring friends groups to meet
The Healing House Community Bereavement Center invites you to participate in the Caring Friends support group. Caring Friends is designed to provide support to adults who have lost a loved one.
The group will meet for six weeks. The first meeting is informational and scheduled for July 22, 5 – 6:30 p.m. at The Healing House Community Bereavement Center. The Healing House is located at 425 Moulton Street in Decatur, near the corner of 6th Avenue.
Hospice of the Valley offers Caring Friends, and other bereavement services at no cost, in the hope it may make a difference at a difficult time in your life. Call The Healing House at 350-5585 to reserve a place for the meeting or for more information.
