Hayes, Matson to wed Aug. 2
William Franklin Hayes and Nancy McGee Hayes of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Ann Hayes of Harvest, to Neil David Matson of Harvest, son of Terry and Maureen Matson of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School and Auburn University. She is employed by Vintage Pharmaceuticals as a chemist. She is the granddaughter of William Grady and Jessie Hayes of Heflin and Eleanor McGee of North Augusta, S.C.
The groom-elect is a graduate of White Oak High School and attended Southwest Texas University. He is employed by Mid-South Testing and Engineering in Decatur as a project manager.
He is a member of the United States Tennis Association, Decatur Chapter. He is the grandson of Roger and Patrice Matson of Peachtree City, Ga., Kay Heier of Whitehouse, Ohio, and the late Robert Heier.
The wedding will be held Aug. 2 at St. John's Episcopal Church.
Anders, Lee to wed Aug. 23
Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell S. Anders of Fairhope announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Ellen Anders, to William Bryan Lee, son of Mr. Wayne Lee and Mrs. Gerald Sexton of Ft. Deposit.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Fairhope High School and The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in communications and information sciences.
She was vice president of Tri Delta sorority, a senator in the UA Student Government Association, and a graduate of the University Honors Program.
She is employed by BellSouth in Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of Doris Herring and the late William Minter Anders of Massey.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Greenville High School, The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration, The University of Alabama in Birmingham with a master's of business administration, and will receive a master's of science in health administration upon completion of a one-year residency at Huntsville Hospital. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, Jason's Honor Society, and was a senator in the Student Government Association.
The wedding will be held Aug. 23 at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope.
Brewer, Travers to wed Aug. 9
Larry and Judy Brewer of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Frances Brewer, to Jonathan Patrick Travers, son of James and Demaris Travers of Priceville.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and is a senior at The University of Alabama in Huntsville majoring in elementary education.
She is a member of the Council for Exceptional Children.
She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Seal of Decatur and the late Mr. M.B. Seal, the late Mr. Eulas Oliver, and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Brewer of Hartselle.
The groom-elect is a 1989 graduate of A.P. Brewer High School. He is the grandson of William and Caroline Travers of Canada and Marion and Marie Wooten of Decatur.
The wedding will be held Aug. 9 at the Wedding Chapel on the Mountain in Huntsville.
Herron, McAbee to wed May 22
Jimmy and Deb Herron of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Jaclyn L. Herron, to Keith Anthony McAbee, son of Dennie McAbee of Danville and LouAnn Moses of Moulton.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School, Wallace State College with an associate's degree in paralegal, and Athens University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is the granddaughter of Edward Chybicki of Darien, Ill., and the late Florence Chybicki, and the late Clayton and Frances Herron.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Lawrence County High School. He is a member of the 20th Army Special Forces Group and has served in the military for nine years. He is a member of the Special Forces Association. He is the grandson of Ann Thompson of Falkville.
The wedding will be held May 22, 2004 at Sacred Heart Church in Cullman.
Hubbard, Palmer to wed Aug. 8
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hubbard and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J.C. McMillan announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Suzanne Hubbard, to James Kyle Palmer, son of Glenda Palmer and Robert Moore of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of West Morgan High School and attends Calhoun Community College and is pursuing a degree in cosmetology. She is employed by Coldwell Banker McMillan and Associates. She is the granddaughter of Mary Jessup of Huntsville and the late Bobby Don Hogan, Dorothy Hubbard of Decatur and the late C.M. Hubbard.
The groom-elect attended West Morgan High School. He is employed by Hubbard &Drake Mechanical Contractor, Inc. He is the grandson of Betty Fleniken of Louisiana and the late C.J. Fleniken.
The wedding will be held Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Weddings
Cataline, Harden exchange vows
Angela Marie Cataline of Danville and Brent Thomas Harden of Hartselle were married June 14 at 2 p.m. at Victory Worship Center by Pastor Ted Agee.
Parents of the couple are George and Margaret Cataline of Danville, and Kim and Brian Patterson of Hartselle, and the late Thomas Harden, Jr.
The bride wore a white gown with a halter neckline, embellished with embroidery and beading. The train was chapel length with rose embroidery. A ring of pearls and flowers held her elbow-length veil with crystal edging. She carried a bouquet of coral roses, stephanotis, daisies, and spring flowers.
Amy Terry of Hartselle, the bridegroom's sister, was the matron of honor. Ginger Archer of Danville was maid of honor.
Michael Cataline of Danville, the bride's brother, was best man. Charlie Terry of Hartselle was groomsman.
Serving at the reception in the fellowship hall were Joan Richardson, Christine Whitehead, Nancy Archer, and Cassy Archer.
Music was provided by Patricia Kircher. Lisa Segars kept the bride's book.
The bride and groom's cakes were created by Debra Kelly. Flowers were designed by Dorothy Martin.
The couple honeymooned in Destin, Fla. They will reside in Jacksonville, Fla.
