    Weddings and Engagements

    Sivley, Case exchange vows
    Dana Suzanne Sivley of Hartselle and David John Case of Tallmadge, Ohio, were married May 24 at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Savannah, Ga.
    The bride is the daughter of Larry and Judy Sivley of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Richard and Rita Case of Tallmadge, Ohio.
    Father Francis Higgins officiated at the service.
    The church was decorated with white satin bows on alternating pews and two candelabras decorated with arrangements of red, sari, and leonardis roses.
    Larry Sivley, the bride's father, gave her in marriage.
    The bride wore a white satin dress with a bateau neckline and fitted bodice with silver embroidery accented with clusters of pearls and sequins in a floral design.
    The dress had a princess waistline accented with a band of pearls and an A-line skirt with a detachable chapel length white satin train.
    The bride wore a waist-length white organza veil and carried a hand-tied bouquet of red, sari, and leonardis roses with flame calla lilies and coffee berries.
    Matron of honor was Wanda Sivley Ferguson of Falkville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Lisa Sivley Bennich of Atlanta, Ga., sister of the bride.
    Attendants wore matching gowns of claret matte satin. The sleeveless gowns were designed with scoop necklines and formal length A-line skirts. They carried hand-tied bouquets of red, sari, and leonardis roses with coffee berries.
    Michael Case of Akron, Ohio, brother of the groom, served as best man.
    Jay Sivley of Hartselle, brother of the bride, served as groomsman. Ushers were Patrick Couzins of Columbus, Ohio; Greg Ward of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Terry Seed of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Larry Seed of Abingdon, Md.
    Music at the ceremony was provided by James Creech, organist, of Savannah, Ga. Reception music was provided by The Great Society Band.
    A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at The Marshall House in Savannah, GA. Catering was provided by Sandy Hollander of 45 Bistro. The bride's cake was a three tier, stacked square cake with varying designs on each tier, topped with an arrangement of red, sari, and leonardis roses and flame calla lilies.
    Julie Ford Musselman of Hostess City Celebrations served as wedding coordinator. Ashley Maze of Hartselle, the bride's cousin, kept the bride's book.
    After a honeymoon in New York City, the bride and groom will reside in Little Rock, Ark.

    Norris, Sims to wed Aug. 9
    Janice Ruth Norris and Bartley Adam Sims announce their engagement. The future bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Judy Norris of Hartselle. The future groom is the son of Scott and Tonda Sims of Decatur.
    The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of Walter and Flora Gandy of Birmingham, Mytrice Norris of McCalla, and the late Paul Norris.
    She is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School and currently attending Calhoun Community College. She is pursuing a degree in secondary education. She is employed by Pier 1.
    The prospective groom is the grandson of Ed and Charlotte Sims, John and Shirley Mathias and the great grandson of Pauline Whittington, all of Baltimore, Ohio, and the late Leonard Whittington.
    He is a 2001 graduate of West Morgan High School and is employed at Worthington Industries, Decatur.
    The wedding will be Aug. 9, at The Burningtree Country Club in Decatur.
    Oldacre, Beckham to wed
    Debra Nelson of Eva and Michael and Deborah Oldacre of Vinemont announce the engagement of their daughter, Keisha Michelle Oldacre, to Thomas Gregory Beckham, son of Ann and Gregory Beckham of South Riding, Va.
    The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in English. She is employed by Paulding County High School in Georgia as an English teacher. She is the granddaughter of Virginia and James E. Nelson of Eva and Lillie Mae and Harold Oldacre of Vinemont.
    The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Paul VI High School and a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
    He is currently employed by Target as a manager. He is the grandson of Barbara and Frank Daugherty of Clinton, Mo., and Elaine and James E. Beckham of Hartwell, Ga.
    The wedding will be held in June at the home of Virginia and James E. Nelson.
    Hood, Scruggs to wed June 28
    Rev. Ralph Harlon and Anne Hood of Somerville announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Hope Hood, to Jamie Ryan Scruggs, son of Curtis and Mattie Scruggs of Carthage, Tenn.
    The bride-elect is a graduate of Samford University. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Hood of Blountsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. A.A. Tidwell of Oneonta.
    The groom-elect is a prospective graduate of Samford University. He is the grandson of R.J. and Bessie Silcox of Carthage, Tenn. The wedding will be held June 28 at Shiloh Baptist Church.
