Community ed classes cover array of topics

This summer the Wallace State Department of Continuing and Community Education is offering a number of one-day and short-term classes on topics including computers, Spanish, business and healthcare. The following classes are scheduled for summer:
Spanish for Teachers – Tuesdays, June 3-24, 6-8 p.m.
Spanish for Childcare Facilities – Sat., Aug. 2, 8-5 p.m.
CPR for Healthcare Providers – four sessions offered – June 6, 13, 20 or 21,
8 a.m.-4 p.m.
First Aide/CPR for Community – Tues., June 24 or Tues., July 8, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Hyperbaric Medicine – video class offered on an ongoing basis
Time Management/Networking – Tues., June 10, 10a.m.-noon
Customer Service/Telephone Courtesy – Tues., June 10, 1 p -3 p.m.
Improving Morale /Group Communications – Tues., June 17 or Tues., Aug. 5, 10 a.m.- noon.
How to Prepare an Effective Presentation – Tues., June 17 or Tues., Aug. 5, 1 3- p.m.
Microsoft Word 2000 for Beginners, Wed., June 4, 10 a.m.- noon
E-mail and Attachments for Beginners, Wed., June 11, 10 a.m.- noon
Internet for Beginners, Wed., June 18, 10 a.m.- noon
Microsoft Excel for Beginners, Wed., June 25, 10 a.m.- noon
Students can take these classes individually or as a series.
Registration is also available through WSC Continuing Education for an online education center offering over 100 self-paced, self-directed non-credit courses on a wide variety of topics ranging from computer applications to certification preparation to business skills at http://wscc.howtomaster.com.
