Funeral for retired Lt. Col. Ernest W. McClure, 93, of Somerville was Monday, May 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Howard Johnson and Tom Larkin officiating.
Burial was in Red Oak Cemetery.
Mr. McClure died Friday, May 16, 2003, at his residence. He was born Jan. 6, 1910, in Missouri and was retired from the United States Army. He was a member of the Union Church of Christ. He was the widower of Louise Day McClure.
He is survived by one stepson, Jim Venus of Harvest; two daughters, Ruth McClure of Dallas, Texas and Martha Bagwell of Arlington, Texas; one step-daughter, Daye Roberts of Somerville; and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Venus, Daniel Venus, Josh Lawrence, Kenneth Roberts, Randall Roberts and Tommy Lawrence.
