William Oliver Fowler

Funeral for William Oliver Fowler, 85, of Somerville was Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Baptist Church with the Revs. Dewitt Crowe and Robert Slack officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Fowler died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Morgan County to William Harvey Fowler and Etha Weaver Fowler. He was a former deacon at Valhermoso Baptist Church. He was retired from the Hartselle city school system and was a lifetime resident of Morgan County. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
He is survived by one son, Draton Fowler of Athens; one daughter, Sharon Jenkins of Atlanta, Ga; two sisters, Lois Tapscott of Brooksville and Lula Keel of Massey; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jim Wood, Carl Wood, Jimmy Scott, Bobby Scott, James Hopper and Jerry Montgomery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
