By Staff
Staff Reports, Hartselle Enquirer
Sierra Springs Retirement / Assisted Living Facility hosted a Mother-Daughter Tea on May 10 for mothers and daughters to join together and celebrate Mother's Day.
Betty Parker, leader of the Sierra Springs Sunday school class, began the event by offering a blessing for mothers.
Each mother was presented with a corsage. Faye Freeman and Becky Freeman provided floral centerpieces and corsages.
Evelyn Helms provided a beautiful cake.
Jo Landers brought a delicious lime punch and homemade cheese straws. Charlotte Wiley made a wonderful cheese dip and presented each mother with a rose and a poem.
Niki Van Koughnett sang a variety of songs. Teresia Lott and Terri Norwood read poems.
For those mothers whose daughters were unable to attend, fill-in daughters were provided.
Approximately 50 ladies attended the event.
