Funeral for Joe West, 74, of Valhermoso Springs, was Saturday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with the Revs. Melvin Brown and Don Trosper officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. West died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born August 7, 1928 in Morgan County to Albie West and Berta Haynie West. He was a welder and the father of the late Donald West.
He is survived by his wife, Lois West of Valhermoso Springs; one son, Dannie West of Valhermoso Springs; one daughter, Regina West of Valhermoso Springs; one sister, Gladys Boyett of Valhermoso Springs; two grandsons, Brandon Johnson and Jamie Reynolds; and a great grandson, B.J. Johnson.
