Staff Reports, Hartselle Enquirer
F.E. Burleson Elementary School has earned top honors in the seventh annual 2002 "Best of the Best" national yearbook contest in the Best Cover Design category.
Burleson also received the award for 2001.
Lifetouch will award each of the 20 winning schools with a certificate and a $100 cash prize to further develop their yearbook program.
The yearbook serves as a historical and memorable time capsule to preserve Burleson's year for students, faculty, parents, and community members.
The 2002 yearbook advisers for Burleson's winning yearbook were Carla Hastings and Greg Lane. Local Lifetouch representative is Jan Byrd.
"The yearbook entries submitted this year were indeed the 'Best of the Best.' The yearbook advisers and staffs at the winning schools demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to creative presentation, journalism and school participation," Lifetouch Publishing Senior Director of Marketing Karen Adamson said.
"Lifetouch is proud to be the yearbook partner for the best of the best schools," she said.
