"Lawrimore and Lyle Show" leads HHS to win

Lady Tigers improve to 32-13 with win against Austin

The Hartselle Lady Tigers continue to roll on, and continue to improve.
Hartselle sports a 32-13 record after pounding Austin 13-0 Monday. During last weekend, the Lady Tigers won five games at the Battle of the Border Tournament.
Against Austin, it was the "Lawrimore and Lyle Show", that is, J.J. Lawrimore and Jessica Lyle.
Lawrimore did her damage at the plate. She went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and a run scored. Lawrimore hit a three-run home run in the first frame to spark a 10-run inning.
Lyle did her damage on the mound and at the plate.
Lyle started the contest and pitched all five innings. She gave up no runs on two hits and struck out two.
At the plate, Lyle went a perfect 4 for 4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. She had three singles and a triple.
Jodi Coffey went 2 for 3 with a run scored, Sabrina Roberts went 1 for 3 with two runs scored and Ashley Jackson went 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Results from Tuesday's game against Bob Jones were not available at press time. The Lady Tigers play at home today against Brewer.
The Junior Varsity teams kick things off at 4:30 with Varsity to follow.
