Bagwell stationed in Germany
Pfc. Sherry Gwyn Bagwell of Hartselle is stationed in Kitzengen, Germany since May of 2002, as a communications specialist. She is the daughter of Karen Bagwell of Athens and Donnie Bagwell of Pensacola, Fla. Hartselle family members include her sister, Shelly Bagwell, brother, Danny Bagwell, grandparents John and Gayle Burch, and great-grandmother, Grace Clemons.
Dowdy soon to be in Iraq
Jeremy Dowdy recently completed 14 weeks of basic training at Ft. Benning, Ga. He is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and is with the First Armored Division in Germany. He is set to deploy to Iraq.
"My son is not afraid, for he has trained with
the best in the world. His wife Jeannine, his mother Debra, his brother Justin and I are very, very proud of him," father Stuart Dowdy said. " He was always told that if we didn't stand up for this country and our freedom then how could we expect anyone else to. After 9/11 his desire was even stronger."
