Teague, Williams to wed May 10
Jimmy and Denise Teague of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Crystal Michelle Teague, to Austin Edward Williams, son of Larry and Sharon Williams of Falkville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School and Calhoun Community College, and is currently attending Athens State University. She is employed by Kids Kastle Learning Center. She is the granddaughter of Margean and Ronald Hill of Hartselle and Estelle and the late Arthur Teague of Falkville.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School and is attending Wallace State College.
He is employed by Cook's Pest Control. He is the grandson of Betty Bolen of Falkville, Paul and Jean Waddell of Oden Ridge, and the late Edna Waddell.
The wedding will be held May 10 at the home of Jimmy and Denise Teague.
Legg, Tucker to wed June 14
Jimmy and Diane Legg of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Jana Brooke Legg, to Joseph Michael Tucker, son of Joe and Ann Tucker of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and expects to graduate in May from Calhoun School of Cosmetology. She is employed by Graffiti Salon. She is the granddaughter of Audie Thomason of Hartselle and the late William Oscar Thomason, and Earl and Opal Legg of Massey.
The groom-elect is a 1991 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 1997 graduate of The University of South Alabama with a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy. He is employed by Encore Rehabilitation. He is the grandson of Elizabeth Mangas of Hartselle and the late Earl Mangas, Nellie Tucker of Arcata, CA, and the late Joe Henry Tucker Sr.
The wedding will be held June 14 at 5 p.m at First Baptist Church in Decatur.
Smith, Carden to wed May 25
John and Carol Smith of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lauren Smith, to Michael Brandon Carden, son of Perry and Reba Carden of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Bob Jones High School and is currently attending The University of Alabama in Huntsville pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School and is currently attending A&M University pursuing a degree in agriculture science. He is employed by Harvest Hills G.C. as superintendent.
The wedding will be held May 25 at Madison United Methodist Church.
Anniversaries
Browns have 76th anniversary
Carl and Nancy Brown, residents of Summerford Nursing Home, celebrated their 76th wedding anniversary on March 9, 2003. A host of friends and their daughter, Johnny Walling, attended the event. The Browns have two children, Johnny Brown Walling of Gardendale and Carl Brown Jr. of West Warwick, R.I.; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown celebrated her 93rd birthday March 25, 2003. The Browns have been residents of Summerford Nursing Home for four years.
