Veasey, Chaney to wed June 14
Dr. Barry McLeon and Kelly McLeon of Vestavia Hills and Michael Veasey of Foley announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Nicoe Veasey, to Charles Clinton "Clint" Chaney, son of Charles and Paula Chaney of Decatur.
The bride-elect is 1999 graduate of Pelham High School and will graduate in May from Auburn University with a bachelor's of science degree in business administration and finance. She is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She is the granddaughter of Mary Veasey and the late Milton Veasey of Foley and Faye Roy and the late Glen Roy of Bessemer.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2002 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's of science degree in marketing. He is employed by Sherwin Williams in Birmingham. He is a member of the Jefferson State Community College and University of North Alabama baseball teams. He is the grandson of Vince Guarin and the late Helen Guarin of Huntsville, Lloyd and Bea Chaney of Hartselle, and Inez Chaney of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held June 14 at 6 p.m. at The Church of Brook Hills in Birmingham.
Sharp, Cleveland to wed May 31
Rita and Barry Hays of Hartselle and Roger Sharp of Cotaco announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Allison Sharp, to Eric L. Cleveland, son of Michelle and Craig Cleveland of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of North Alabama with a bachelor's degrees in biology and geology. She is employed by Environmental Materials Consultants in Montgomery as a groundwater geologist. She is the granddaughter of Lucy Davis of Decatur and Milton and Willie Mae Sharp of Somerville.
The groom-elect is a 1995 graduate of Hartselle High School and is currently pursuing a degree in environmental science. He is employed by GKIV Aerospace in Tallasee as an environmental health and safety consultant.
He is the grandson of Harry and Pat Houston of Hartselle and Billy James and Billie Jean Cleveland of Union, Miss.
The wedding will be held May 31 at 2 p.m. at Hartselle First United Methodist Church.
Tankersley, McHan to wed June 14
Dwight and Jenny Tankersley of Hartselle announce the engagement of the daughter, Brooke Marie Tankersley, to Norman Thomas McHan, son of Chester and Jackie McHan of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School and a student at Athens State University majoring in elementary education.
She is also a member of Kappa Delta Pi sorority.
She is the granddaughter of Lenora Yarbrough and the late R.C. "Bob" Yarbrough, and the late Lewis and Claudia Tankersley. She is the great granddaughter of W.E. Lumsden.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Falkville High School and a student at Wallace State Community College majoring in machine tool technology. He is the grandson of the late Jimmy and Evelyn Creel, Dorothy Ayers, and the late Roy McHan.
The wedding will be held June 14 at Fairview Church of God in Falkville.
King, Stinson to wed June 14
Marvin and Tina King of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Michelle King, to Steven Justin Stinson, son of Ronnie Stinson, Sr. of Hartselle and Helen Martin of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Falkville High School.
She is the granddaughter of William and Viola Brown of Battle Creek, Mich., and Audrey King and the late Gilbert King of Hartselle.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School. He is the grandson of Earl Knappenberger and the late Katherine Knappenberger of Athens, and Mary Thorn and the late Lestor Thorn of Moulton. The wedding will be held June 14 at Prewitt's Wedding Chapel in Decatur.
