Thomas 'Tommy' McAbee

Funeral for Thomas "Tommy" McAbee, 54, of Hartselle was Wednesday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Phillip Hines officiating.
A graveside service will be held Thursday (today), March 13, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Garden with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. McAbee died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Southern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta. A native of Morgan County, he was a self-employed home builder. He graduated from Morgan County High School in 1967 and from The University of Alabama in 1975. He was in the Alabama National Guard Hartselle C-Company 1343rd Combat Engineers from 1968 through 1974.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah McAbee of Hartselle; two sons, Ashton Crawford and Bradley Crawford, both of Hartselle; his parents, Lloyd and Ozell McAbee, of Hartselle; three brothers, Joe McAbee of Atlanta, Ga. and William C. "Billy" McAbee and Rickey McAbee, both of Hartselle; one sister, Patricia Graydon of Decatur; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Don Sims, Gary Thompson, Bill Barnett, Dennis Booth, Dale Howard and Ferrell Vest.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Meals on Wheels.
