Dutch Quality House, Wayne Farms LLC Golf Tournament to benefit Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April announced last week the Dutch Quality House (DQH) and Wayne Farms LLC will sponsor their second golf tournament benefiting Rebuilding Together. The tournament, being held at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, is scheduled for March 24.
The tournament will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with a complimentary lunch provided by Canteen Vending Services. Tee-time for the four-person scramble is set for noon, with the winning team receiving a cash prize of $600.
Prizes will also be given for the longest drive, closest to the pin and a hole in one. Door prizes will be given to every participant. This year, DQH and Wayne Farms are also holding a silent auction.
"There was a wonderful response to last year's tournament," Rebuilding Together Executive Director Lee Walker said. "We are grateful to Dutch Quality's Operations Manager Don Dubnik and his employees for all their hard work in making these fundraising events possible.
"Without the support of donors like this, we would not be able to help keep the houses of low-income homeowners warm, safe and dry."
Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest nonprofit volunteer organization that repairs and rehabilitates the houses of low-income homeowners who are elderly and/or disabled, along with families with children.
The cost for a four-person team is $400. The number of teams for the tournament is limited, so if interested in playing, contact Wendy Taylor at 584-7010.
