Funeral for Stanley Mark Pirkle, 69, of Hartselle was Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Martin Depreast and Tom Campbell officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Pirkle died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at his residence. A native of Georgia, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was a construction tile worker.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis Faye Roden Pirkle of Hartselle; one brother, Jerry Pirkle of Converse, Texas; three sisters, Lois McSwain of Callahan, Fla., Eleth Shifordek of Yulee, Fla. and Brenda Contini of Carson City, Nev.
Pallbearers were Brit Nickens, Greg Nicholson, Chris Byrd, Charles Turrentine, D.A. Ray and Greg Roden.
