Funeral services for Jessie B. Cook, 72, of Somerville will be Thursday (today), Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ron Young and Janice Hill officiating.
Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens Cemetery with full United States Air Force Honors.
Mr. Cook died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Marion Regional Medical Center in Hamilton. A native of Morgan County, he was a retired United States Air Force Sergeant, a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and was a Prisoner of War (POW) in Korea. He was a former member of the Somerville Masonic Lodge and a member of Somerville United Methodist Church. He was the brother of the late Pocohontas Breeding.
He is survived by two sons, John W. Cook of Priceville and Jesse Dwain Cook of Tuscumbia; five daughters, Pamela Allen of Kingsland, Ga., Cynthia Green and Lela Tolbert, both of Somerville, Sonia Harper and Tracy Wilson, both of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, James Patterson of Brooksville; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and Barry Harris.
