Walker, Henderson wed Dec. 28
Shelley Alane Walker of Hartselle and John Paul Henderson of Greenbrier were married Dec. 28, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church.
Ministers Steve Brown and Eric Bennett officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Alan and Sharon Walker of Hartselle.
The groom is the son of William and Patricia Henderson of Greenbrier.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The bride wore a formal gown of white slipper satin with a scoop neckline and molded bodice encrusted with pearls and crystals.
The princess style gown flowed into an A-line skirt with a semi-cathedral length train. Her veil was made of imported French illusion, banded with organza and gently sprinkled with crystals.
Her veil was held by a crystal bridal band. Her bouquet featured white, mauve and burgundy roses.
Shauna Wallace, sister of the bride, of Hartselle was maid of honor.
Candi Fuqua of Decatur, Jodie Day of Decatur, and Cynthia Henderson of Athens were bridesmaids.
Rebekah Voss of Decatur was flower girl. Seth Pillow, son of the bride, was ring bearer.
The groom's father, William Henderson, of Greenbrier was the best man.
Jimmy Bolan of Decatur, Wesley Henderson of Greenbrier, and Wesley Holland of Auburn were groomsmen. Jakob Smith of Hartselle, Kayne Winkles of Goodhope, and Zac Bennett Sevierville, Tenn. were junior ushers. Wesley Henderson and Wesley Holland were candlelighters.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Paula Brown of Gardendale was the wedding director.
Dana Bennett of Sevierville, Tenn., Erin Bennett of Sevierville, Tenn., Holly Bennett of Vinemont, Donna Bennett of Vinemont, Karen Holland of Eva, Erica Holland of Eva, Starla Ward of Hartselle, and Charissa Smith of Hartselle assisted with the reception. Erica Holland of Eva attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Nashville. They will reside in Hartselle.
