Westcott William Reed

Funeral for Westcott William Reed, 57, of Decatur was Saturday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m. at Central Park Baptist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Craig Carlisle officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Reed died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at his residence. A native of Jefferson County, he was a member of Central Park Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was past president of the Decatur Kiwanis Club, a graduate of Montevallo College and a member of the Sigma Club. He was an agent for Stovall-Marks Insurance in Decatur.
He is survived by one son, William Westcott Reed of Decatur; two daughters, Monica Reed Albers of Houston, Texas, and Elizabeth Reed of Birmingham; his father and stepmother, Edgar and Virginia Reed of Suwanee, Ga.; two sisters, Gail Damron of Suwanee, Ga. and Dottie Cosper of Panama City Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Steve Britnell, David Damron, Reed Damron, Steve Stovall, Gerald Marks and Phil McGregor.
Honorary pallbearers were the Sigma Club Fraternity.
