Priceville, Brewer to play for B-Team championship

DANVILLE – It will be Brewer and Priceville in the championship game of the Morgan County B-Team Boys Tournament.
Priceville beat West Morgan for a shot at the title, while Brewer beat Falkville and Hartselle.
The championship game will be played at 5 p.m. Friday.
Brewer 48, Hartselle 38
Second Round
The Patriots advanced to the finals with a 48-38 win over Hartselle.
Hartselle trailed 14-10 at the end of the first quarter but stormed back with a 10-0 run.
The lead wouldn't hold, however, as Brewer outscored the Tigers 9-2 the rest of the first half. That run culminated with Matt Cobbs' "ally-oop" to Austin Mooney just before the buzzer sounded.
Brewer never trailed in the second half by taking advantage of easy opportunities and foul trouble.
Clarence Garden could not stay out of foul trouble, playing less than three minutes of the second half before fouling out. Garden still finished the night with seven points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
Brewer's Derek Black scored a game-high 13 points, while Cobbs ended the night with 11 points and six boards.
Lee Jones added nine, while both Eric Norwood and Chase Lusk chipped in six for Hartselle.
Priceville 45, W. Morgan 37
First Round
Dale Taylor outscored West Morgan 9-5 in the fourth quarter as Priceville took a come-from-behind victory.
The Bulldogs trailed 32-31 at the end of the third quarter, but Taylor was able to dominate in the final stanza.
Priceville trailed throughout the game, as West Morgan led 8-1 at the end of the first quarter. The Rebels led 22-11 at halftime, but Priceville rallied to within one point by third quarter's end.
Matt Cryer scored 10 for Priceville and Phillip Black added nine on 7 of 12 free throw shooting.

Matt Smith had seven points and Ryan Mouser added two.
For West Morgan, Samuel Wallace scored 12 points and Matt Terry had nine. K.D. Mason had eight.
Brewer 63, Falkville 32
First Round
Three Patriots scored in double figures as Brewer romped by Falkville, setting up that second-round date with Hartselle.
Travis Boyd led Brewer with 14 points, while Austin Mooney and Adam Baxter had 10.
The Patriots led throughout, holding a 26-18 lead at halftime. Falkville was outscored 37-14 in the second half.
Derek Black had seven for the Patriots, while Casey Gray and Wesley Dobbs added five apiece.
Chris Casteel led Falkville with nine points and Brad Vest had eight. Robbie Edge had six points, while Daniel Cole and James Smith scored three each.
