Mrs. Mary Ellen Wheaton

Funeral for Mary Ellen Wheaton, 60, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Wheaton died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2002, at her daughter's home in Hartselle. A native of W. Va., she was a homemaker and a Pentecostal. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lake Aerie No. 4355, and held various positions in the Moose Lodge for 22 years, including College of Regents and past madam president of the auxiliary. She lived in Florida since 1986 before returning to Morgan County in November. She was the widow of Raymond Wheaton and the mother of the late James Nangle. She was the sister of the late Amos George, Paul Conrad, Ralph Conrad, Betty Kirkpatrick and Grace Knight.
She is survived by four daughters, Rita Davis of Decatur, Edith Kirkpatrick of Elkins, W. Va., and Elizabeth Pire and Roberta Bradley, both of Hartselle; three brothers, Lee Conrad of Buckhannon, W. Va., William Conrad of Hartselle and Leo Conrad; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lyman Pire, James Bradley, Scottie Jones, George Conrad, Donald Jones and Waylon Daniel.
