Tigers roll to 73-53 win over Decatur, girls fall 66-49

The Hartselle Tigers improved to 2-1 last week after falling to Bradshaw Tuesday and beating rival Decatur 73-53 Thursday night.
Zac Ward led the Tigers with 23 points in Thursday night's win.
The Lady Tigers, though, are still searching for their first win of the season as of Thursday night, falling to the Lady Raiders 66-49.
Hartselle 73, Decatur 53
Ward's performance Thursday night did not end with 23 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists and made five steals.
He led three Tigers in double figures, as Marlon Chapman scored 16 and Keith Rodgers had 14.
Decatur is still winless on the season.
Decatur 66, Hartselle 49
Girls
The Lady Tigers fell in a 10-0 hole to start the game but fought back to make it a four-point game at halftime.
Decatur proved too much down the stretch, though, as four Lady Red Raiders got into double figures.
Paige Chatman led Hartselle with 12 points, while Regan Sandlin had 11.
