Rachel Lou South

Funeral for Rachel Lou South, 68, of Hartselle was Monday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m. at New Hope North Baptist Church in Cullman County with the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. South died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, at her residence. A native of Morgan County, she worked in production at Prestolite. She was the widow of Thurman South.
She is survived by three sons, Micheal South of Mobile, Danny South of Decatur and Don South of Hartselle; two daughters, Carol South of Decatur and Cheryl Higginbotham of Hartselle; three brothers, Dick Bates of Decatur, James Bates of Hartselle and Billy Bates of North Carolina; three sisters, Louise South and Marie McCoy, both of Hartselle and Polly Garrison of Decatur; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family members.
