Did officials decide game?

By Staff
Nick Johnston, Hartselle Enquirer
Hartselle head coach Mike Smith may have said it best.
"We're not happy and they're not happy," he said. "But, the team that overcame the penalties was going to win. That's what we did."
Many Cullman fans have voiced their displeasure at Friday night's game.
The common comment is the "officials cost Cullman the game."
They may have a point, but according to Smith, the officiating hurt both sides.
"I know they're crybabying about the officials down there, but we had a lot of penalties, too," he said. "Some of ours were bogus, but I don't think either side can claim a victory off the officials."
Cullman head coach Mark Britton would not discuss the officiating after Friday night's game, however, he did mention one particular play.
