Cassandra J. Lawrence has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) National Advanced Leadership Camp at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wa.
Lawrence is the daughter of Roger A. and Shelby J. Lawrence of Benson Road of Somerville. She is a 2000 graduate of A.P. Brewer High School.
Marine Corps Lance Cpl Timothy Girod, son of Barbara Girod of Schaumburg, Ill. and Loyd Girod of Hartselle, recently completed a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf.
Army Reserve Lt. Col. Jack R. McClanahan Jr. has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa. His wife, Robin, is the daughter of Sally Williams of Rogers, Ark., and Billie McClanahan of Hartselle.
The lieutenant colonel is a 1975 graduate of Morgan County High School and a 1980 graduate of Jacksonville State University.
