Kifer, Littrell exchange vows
Stephanie Jean Kifer and Zachry Heflin Littrell, both of Hartselle, were wed Sept. 14, 2002 at the Grove Park Inn Country Club in Ashville, N.C.
Phillip Hines of Hartselle officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Rita Kifer of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Caryl Littrell of Hartselle and Bill and Wanda Littrell of Moulton.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a designer gown of diamond white silk. The strapless gown featured a molded bodice embellished with an intricate beading of silver rocals and pearls. The A-line skirt fell from the empire waist and swept into a chapel train. Her veil of imported French tulle was bordered with a delicate band of organza and scattered with crystals.
She carried a silver tussie-mussie of ivory sweetheart roses, lavender freesia, white dendrobrium orchids and galax leaves.
Shelly Kifer Tomlinson of Thompson Station, Tenn., was matron of honor. Bridesmaides were Maria Burgess of Washington, Ga., Ginny Isbell of Meridian, Miss., and Tracy Thompson of Tucson, Ariz. Flower girl was Rachel Tomlinson of Thompson Station, Tenn.
Blake Garrett of Hartselle was best man. Groomsmen were John Morris of Decatur, Jason Tomlinson of Thompson Station, Tenn., and Josh Patrick of Birmingham. Ring bearer was William Littrell of Hartselle.
Music was provided by a string quartet of Ashville and soloist James Kifer.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. The bride's cake was three tiers of sour cream pound cake with apricot filling and floral decorations.
Assisting with the reception were Julie Hines of Hartsellle, director, and the bride's aunt, Myrana Wallen, at the bride's book.
After a wedding trip to Napa Valley, Ca., the couple will reside in Franklin, Tenn.

Whitney Joy Merkh of Hartselle and Landon Wayne Walls of Bessemer were married July 6, 2002 at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
Dr. Gary S. Cramer Jr. officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Barbara Merkh of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Maxie and Janice Walls of Bessemer.
The church was decorated with columns with ferns on either side of the altar and mixed arrangements on the altar. Wreaths of dried baby's breath were on the door and the pews were decorated with bows.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a formal designer gown of ivory silk satin, desgined with an elongated waistline.
The sleeveless gown featured a scooped neckline and a molded bodice. The ball skirt fell from inverted box pleats and swept into a chapel train. Her veil was imported French tulle' held by a matching bridal bandeau.
She carried a white rose bouquet.
Melissa McGehee of Hartselle was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dara McCammon of Hernando, Miss., Erin Rust of Germantown, Tenn. and Maggie Walls of Bessemer.
Attendants wore dresses of pale blue bridal sating made by the bride's aunt, Reva. Attendants carried tussie mussies of yellow roses.
Maxie Walls of Bessemer was best man. Groomsmen were Scott Harper of Hartselle and Casey Veal of Oneonta. Davey Young of Decatur was usher.
Music was provided by Ellen Bean on organ, Davey Young on guitarist and Lauryn Quattlebaum was soloist.
A reception was held at Quail Creek Conference Center.
The bride's cake was five tiers, featuring fruit cascading from tier to tier. The groom's cake was chocolate with strawberry and had a baseball on top.
Amy Robinson was wedding director. R. Lowery Crondale family were caterers.
Stephanie Roberts attended the bride's book.
After a wedding trip to Savannah, Ga., the couple resides in Bessemer.
