Funeral for Mary McLain Stephenson, 74, of Hartselle was Monday, Sept. 2, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Walter Blackmon and Ralph Jones officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephenson died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at her residence. A native of Morgan County, she retired from Goodyear Mill as a payroll clerk after 22 years. She was a charter member of East Highland Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Bethel Homemakers Club. She was the widow of John Lee Stephenson.
She is survived by five sons, David Stephenson of Florence, Don Stephenson of Decatur, and Doug Stephenson, Chris Stephenson and Danny Stephenson, all of Hartselle; two sisters, Jewel Smith and Glenna Dee Jones, both of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Jones, Rick Stephenson, Jimmy Walker, Stewart Stephenson, Scott Stephenson and Richard Gurley.
