Danville-Neel Elementary School recently completed the summer enrichment reading program "Reading Under the Big Top…The Greatest Books on Earth."
This enrichment activity allowed students from Morgan County, including Morgan County, Hartselle City and Decatur City schools to become immersed in the "greatest books on earth."
More than 120 students participated in the event during the months of June and July. Teachers from Danville-Neel Elementary presented various reading and writing activities to reinforce classroom objectives during the enrichment time. Students participated in puppetry activities, journal writings, self-portraits/clown drawings, and a variety of reading instructional activities. Refreshments were provided by the Nestle Corp., the Danville-Neel Elementary School Partner-In-Education.
