Christopher Glyn Russell

Funeral for Christopher Glyn Russell, 35, of Hartselle, was Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at Neel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Harold Thompson and Buddy Brown officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Russell died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Morgan County, he was a graduate of Danville High School, a Sunday school teacher and a member of Neel United Methodist Church. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Auburn University and a doctorate degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He was a research scientist for Research Genetics in Huntsville.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Halbrooks Russell of Hartselle; three sons, Aden Christopher Russell, Ty Brooks Russell and Eli Wallace Russell, all of Hartselle; his parents, Glyn D. and Jonnie Russell of Hartselle; one brother, Jason Russell of Hartselle; one sister, Connie Gillott of Hartselle; and his grandmother, Mildred Russell Deasy of LaFayette, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Ken James, Mark Pike, Rod Gillott, Jason Russell, Chad Halbrooks, Steve Wright, Ken Looney and Jock Barnes.
Memorials may be made to the Chris Russell Children's Memorial Fund in care of Neel United Methodist Church, 261 Wynn Wallace Road, Hartselle, AL 35640.
