Funeral for Mary Evelyn Edwards, 89, of Hartselle was Sunday, July 28, at 3 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Revs. Tom Campbell, Bob Cole and Wendell Callahan officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Miss Edwards died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Summerford Nursing Home. A native of Cullman County, she was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for years. She was a graduate of Florence State Teachers College and taught school in the Morgan County school system for 40 years.
She is survived by one sister, Kathryn Edwards of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Delbert Vest, James Roden, Clyde Gillott, Charles Turrentine, Lewis Depreast and John Hughes.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Self, Robert Turrentine, Martin Depreast, Greg Alred, Odis Morris and Jack Brown.
