Lois Grisham Lott Strong

Funeral for Lois Grisham Lott Strong, 77, of Hartselle was Friday, July 12, at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle with the Revs. WG Henry, Harold Thompson and William Cole officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Strong died Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at her residence. A native of Blount County, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle for 62 years, a charter member of the J.K. Haynes Sunday school class and a charter member of the Draper Group Women's Circle since 1948. She taught Sunday school and worked with the UMYF in the 1950s and 1960s. She was a homemaker and worked as a program clerk for the ASCS for 30 years. She was a staunch Methodist and Democrat and a lifelong Auburn fan. She was the sister of the late Hellen G. Griffith and Gorman H. Grisham Sr. and the grandmother of the late Joel John Suski.
She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Strong of Hartselle; one son, Hallie R. "Ranny" Lott of Houston, Tex.; one daughter, Margie L. Suski of Hatton; one brother, William T. "Bill" Grisham of Huntsville; two sisters, Elna G. Sanderson of Huntsville and June G. Butler of Macon, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Harry Houston, Robert Peck, Elmo Kerr, Charles Smith, Hal Moore, Ronnie Moore, Ron Hodgen and Larry Dunlap.
Honorary pallbearers were United Methodist Women and friends.
