Charles Douglas Smith

Funeral for Charles Douglas Smith, 77, of Decatur were Wednesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Austinville with the Revs. W.K. Stephenson and Marty Steelman officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Smith died Monday, July 15, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was an U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, coached at Decatur High School, was a principal at Austinville High School and retired from Fruehauf Corp. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Austinville for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Tucker Smith; three sons, Ricky L. Smith of Cullman and Van A. Smith and Paul D. Smith, both of Hartselle; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Victor Tucker, Bret Tucker, Greg Tucker, Ronnie Hall, Horace Don Hamilton and Kenneth Harp.
