Lillian H. Strother

A memorial service for Lillian H. Strother, 76, of Decatur was Monday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Rollins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Strother died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at her residence. A native of Morgan County, she was the owner of a needlecraft shop in Birmingham and a gift shop in Opelika. She also was a retired executive secretary for two circuit judges, a public relations director for a YMCA in Birmingham and a bookkeeper for 12 years for the North Alabama Cat and Bird Veterinary Clinic. Family members remember her for her fond devotion to her dog, "Scote". She was the mother of the late Lisa Lauren Strother.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Strother of Birmingham; and one daughter, Jan Strother Newman of Hartselle.
Memorials may be made to the library fund at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Hospice of the Valley or the Presbyterian Children's Home.
