A look back

By Staff

1942-June 9, In its current issue the Enquirer published "Aloha No More," an article sent to the paper by Frank McDaniel who is working in the defense area at the Pacific Naval Air Base, Honolulu, T.H. "That long trench-grave" is an overwhelming reminder of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor back in December, Mr. McDaniel writes.

Funeral services were conducted from the residence, one-half mile south of Austinville, the Rev. Moore officiating.
1941-June 10, "Here Comes the Navy," with James Cagney, an inspiring patriotic movie, is now showing at the Strand Theatre. It continues through tomorrow.
