Graveside services for Ellen Elizabeth Tate Skidmore, 98, of Madison (formerly of Fort Payne), were Saturday, May 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the Valley Head Cemetery with Rev. Danny Moses officiating.
Mrs. Skidmore died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at a health care center in Madison. She was a native of Valley Head and a retired school teacher and nurse who worked in several northern Alabama counties.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartselle, serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Walden of Madison and Rebecca Straley of Manhattan Beach, Calif.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
