What I like about America

Cotaco School students from Carrie Abercrombie's third grade class submitted the following reasons they love America:
I like the bald eagle because it is America's bird. Another thing I like about the eagle is the colors. I like the eagle because it flies high in the sky and uses cliffs to nest. This is why the bald is a favorite American bird.

I like the freedom we have in America. Every person can do what they want to do. It's wonderful to be free. I love America. It's a beautiful place to live.

What I like about America is the White House. I like it because the president lives there. Also, it has history in it. I wish I could be the president one day and live in the White House.

I like a lot of things about America however, the Statue of Liberty is my favorite. The Statue of Liberty is beautiful when it's lit up at night. If I lived in New York, I would go see it every night. I think that the Statue of Liberty is an important American symbol. I love The Statue of Liberty.

What I mostly like about America is that we are free to do a lot of things other countries can't do. I like freedom because we don't have slavery. Also, I like freedom because we are free to worship our own religion, I'm glad that we are free to make own choices. What I mostly like about freedom is that we can go to any school we want. I like freedom very much.
