Priceville High School’s freshmen, junior varsity and varsity basketball teams received a big shout out for the upcoming season from approximately 250 parents and fans of players at the second annual “Bulldog Blackout” on Saturday night.

The event kicked off at 5:30 p.m., with a tailgate party, which featured a wide variety of recorded music, lots of good food and a time of fellowship and reminiscing about school lays gone by.

Wearing glow bands, the audience assembled inside the gymnasium at 6:30 p.m. for a slide show, featuring basketball action from last season’s teams. Introductions of JV and varsity cheerleaders and JV and varsity basketball teams were made with lots of fanfare afterwards.

Cheerleaders and basketball players were introduced individually as they entered the court from the hallway entrance. Sponsors and coaches joined the teams at mid-court and made comments about their status and goals for the upcoming season.

Cheerleaders performed stunts and yells and formed victory lines for the players as they were introduced and entered the court. Each team chose players to compete in fun games and shooting exhibitions.
